What makes DB6 steel unique and why to choose this?

DB6 tool steel is an extreme pass on steel with high treating resistance and great through-solidifying properties. One of the most striking features of this substance is that it has uncommonly effect safe - a highly recommendable element, popular for vast mallet and press bites the dust alike.

This elevation is mostly transferred in toughened condition or extinguished and tempered up to 1300 N/mm^2 and a working hardness of 370 to 410 HB round, or 355 to 400 HB square level.

DB6 Steel is utilized for standard die block steel, used for manufacturing, passes on for different kinds, such as expulsion kicks the bucket, retainer plates, heavily clad trim bites the dust, hot shear sharpened pieces of steel and instrument holder.

DB6 Properties

DB6’s exceptional hot work pre-solidified tool steel has great toughness and high wear resistance. DB6 tool steel is generally used in hard, quenched, tempered and annealed condition, and in strengthening conditions, in most exceptional cases. The working hardness of this steel is around 360 - 430 BHN. This steel grade is the updated version of the DIN 2713 for higher efficiency and performance.

Forging

DB6 steel has to be first preheated very slowly up to 700^C, and then the temperature has to be increased rapidly up to 1050^C. The DB6 Steel must not be forged below 800^C. And when the forging is done, slow cooling down is needed, which either has to take place in a furnace, or in any vermiculite.

Annealing
Annealing of DB6 is done by soaking the component at 740-760^C before the furnace starts to cool, which should take place at the rate of 10^C/hour, thoroughly decreasing the temperature to 600^C, and then it should be left to cool in air.
