H13 tool steel, is a versatile and widely used material in the tooling and machining industry. It is a chromium-based hot work tool steel with excellent strength, toughness, and heat resistance properties. This H13 hot work steel is the alloy of Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium materials. The features of each of the materials endow the hard aspect of the alloy. Its best ability concerns its resistance to the high pressure of the heat and cold. The products from this material are of high abilities and durability that goes on for a long time as part of any machinery. The standard hardness of H13 is 460—520 BHN. The quality of the material is marked with refined ESR, which is filtered through the traditional VD route. Its thermal conductivity is too high to cause any crack during the high thermal pressure on it. It can also be cooled to some extent. It is also resistant to that. As per the product of Virat Special Steels, the material is available in different modes of shapes like flat, ...

Looking For DIN 2344 Hot Work Steels?

Image
DIN 2344 Steel | 2344 Tool Steel |1.2344 Hot Work Steel Our DIN 2344 matches the Japanese JIS G4404 standard exactly (and its corresponding SKD 61 steel) and is roughly equivalent to the AISI H13 Tool Steel (conforming to ASTM A681 standard); the British BH13 (BS4659BH13 standard); and the French AFNOR NFA 35-590 Z40CDV5. Our DIN 2344 Steels are low Carbon Steels with Carbon content of between 0.37% and 0.42% and Chromium content between 4.8 to 5.5%, Molybdenum content between 1.2 to 1.5%. They may contain Silicon upto 0.3% and just a trace of Sulphur. But the Vanadium content is quite high at around 1% which gives it great resistance to abrasion regardless of temperature (from low end to high end). Other such desirable properties include: Highly tough and ductile (suitable for wires and ropes) Resistant to thermal fatigue and hot cracking Retains strength at high temperatures Allows through-hardening Resists distortion when hardened High machinability As Virat Sp...

D2 2379 – the wear resistant tool steel

D2 2379 is a well accepted choice when it comes to tool steels. This steel grade is marked by its extremely high wear resistance that makes it perfect for manufacturing long running tools without causing abrasion. The alloying composition of D2 2379 is the major determinant of its wear resistance and its carburization is well guarded during the cooling process so prevent the undesirable attributes that reduce its versatility as for tools development. Virat Special Steels is the leading manufacturer and exporter of D2 2379 steel grade and offers its products in different shapes and dimensions to suit the enterprising demands of the clients. To get detailed information on D2 2379 steel, visit the website www.toolsteels.in Why D2 2379 is best suited for wear resistant tooling? D2 2379 is a high Chromium, high Carbon tool steel which is tough enough to make cold work tools. The Chromium content in D2 2379 is 12% that is much higher than other steel grades used for hot work appl...

Endurance and High Resistance of H13 Hot Work Steel from Virat Special Steel

It is said that steel is the base of this modern day civilization. It is the only material, which is literally inevitable in everyone's life. The demand for this material is streamed from its unique features actually. Iron is a tough material but it can be converted under high thermal pressure. On the other hand, steel is not any fundamental material but an alloy that has many different features as individual material. H13 STEEL

Image
VIRAT SPECIAL STEELS Pvt. Ltd.   Introduce H-13 material & Modify H13 ( DIN 2344 / SKD61/ AISI H13) for the application of drop forgings, Extrusion, Pressure Die Casting etc. H13 steels belong to a family of Hot-Working Steels, a group of steel that is used to cut or shape material at high temperatures. These H-group tool steels were developed for strength and hardness during prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. These tool steels are low carbon and moderate alloy with significant carbide content resulting in good hot hardness and toughness, coupled with fair wear resistance. The main alloy constituents of H13 are Chromium (4.75 to 5.5%); Molybdenum (1.1 to 1.75%); Vanadium (0.8 to 1.2%); and nominal volume of Nickel (only 0.3%). While Molybdenum and Vanadium provide strength, the high Chromium content makes H13 resistant to softening when at high temperatures (red hardness). H-13 is also resilient in to shock and abrasion. It is capable of withstanding ra...
