Key Properties: Working Hardness,  approximately 32 HRC (delivery condition, quenched and tempered) to 50 HRC. Delivery Condition, maximum 325 HB.

Chemical Composition: Carbon (C): 0.35 – 0.45% , Silicon (Si): 0.2 – 0.4% , Manganese (Mn): 1.3 – 1.6% , Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.03% , Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.03%,  Chromium (Cr): 1.8 – 2.1% , Molybdenum (Mo): 0.15 – 0.25% , Nickel (Ni): 0.9 – 1.2%

Technical Properties: Through-Hardenability, the nickel additives enhance uniform hardness throughout the material. Polishability and Grainability, low sulfur content makes it suitable for polishing and texturing.

Applications: Plastic molds , Molding frames, Die casting molds, Forging tools, Metal extrusion tools, Tube presses ,Hydroforming tools etc...

Heat Treatment: Usually pre-hardened, so heat treatment is not typically required. Soft annealing at 710–740°C followed by slow cooling. Hardening from a temperature of 840–870°C followed by oil quenching. Tempering twice is recommended.

Additional Information: P20+Ni has increased hardness, wear resistance, edge stability, and excellent polishability. It is not classified as stainless steel due to its chromium content. The material is magnetizable but slightly reduced due to nickel content.
